What inspired this piece?
So many of us have decided that a long line of trauma ends with us. We’re the ones in the chain who are finally figuring out how to let it all go, leave it behind, and help pull each other up out of the dark. It’s meant to serve as a reminder on the hardest days that breaking the cycle is possible and that you don’t have to do it alone. This piece expresses without words the euphoria, pain and release that comes with letting go.
